Director Of Dance
Kendra Sides-Daly, native to Jacksonville, began teaching at the age of 16 at the studio she grew up studding at, Fascinatin’ Rhythm under the direction on Christina McDonald. During her high school years she studied for several summers at the Atlanta School Ballet, one at Hartford School of Ballet, and took several trips to New York. She graduated in 1999 from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts as a member of Dance Theatre. After high school she attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where she received her BFA in Dance in May of 2003. While there, she furthered her knowledge of dance by studying Graham technique for 4 years, becoming certified in elementary Labanotation, and working with such greats as Judith Jamison, Elizabeth Roxas, Lary White, and many more, along with choreographing for student shows. After returning to Jacksonville, Mrs. Daly was the assistant director and teacher at Dansations Performing Arts Center from 2003- 2012. She has also spent the 2014 and 2015 summers working for Cathedral Arts Project as a teacher for their Super Summer Academy. Mrs. Daly has been a teacher in the Duval County school system for the past 15 years. 12 were spent at LaVilla School of the Arts as well as Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, where she has previously been director of the Tap Ensemble and the creator and director of the Creative Dance Ensemble. Mrs. Daly is excited to be at Fort Caroline where she can continue to pass on her love of dance and inspire a new generation of dancers.
